The 1970s

The house,  built in 1973, is set in a field of 0.65 acre; we arrived in 1976. The dilapidated chapel to the north is now almost hidden from view

Rosie and family

In 1978 we acquired Rosie, a Clun sheep, and her two lambs to keep the grass down

Each year, Rosie went to visit Hannibal, a local Suffolk ram. and each spring she presented us with twin lambs. The ram lambs were sent to the butcher but we kept her first ewe lamb, Poppy, and Rosie was pensioned off. Poppy (left) was a tame and docile pet.
